A PREGNANT woman in Ellesmere Port received hospital treatment after being kicked in the stomach.

The 20-year-old, from Percival Road, was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital as a precaution late on Monday evening.

An elderly man was injured when he was hit by a car in the car park at Safeway, Chester Road, just before 11am last Wednesday. He was taken to the Countess of Chester and treated for minor injuries.

A 14-year-old boy suffered minor injuries when he was hit by a car on Woodchurch Lane, Great Sutton at 9.45pm last Wednesday. He was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Firefighters have been called out twice to fires on the marshes in Parkgate. They are believed to have been started deliberately.

Jakes Yard, near Station Road, has been the scene of several recent fires. It is believed the cause is youngsters building dens and setting them alight.

A flat in Princes Road was burgled last Friday afternoon and CDs and DVDs stolen.

A garage in Browning Drive was burgled on Sunday evening and a quantity of garden equipment stolen.

A man was assaulted on Sunday evening at the Cat pub, Wolverham Road. He received facial injuries and was taken to the Countess of Chester.
