FIREFIGHTERS battled for more than an hour to put out a blaze on an Ellesmere Port industrial estate.

FIREFIGHTERS battled for more than an hour to put out a blaze on an Ellesmere Port industrial estate.

At 6.51 this morning (Saturday), crews were called to Alchem Skip Hire on Bridges Road, where an excavator vehicle had caught fire.

Specialist equipment was used to extinguish the blaze, including two hose reel water jets and two breathing apparatus.
