Leonard Hawkes, 70, of and 72-year-old Richard Westwood entered not guilty pleas when they appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on Wednesday (December 2).
The incident is alleged to have occurred between April 1 and April 30 1968 after the complainant – who was 15 at the time – attended the concert of another band in Chester, where she claims to have encountered Hawkes and Westwood.
Hawkes, of Laleham Reach in Surrey, and Westwood, of Ellis Road in Crowthorne, Berkshire, spoke only to provide their personal details and enter their pleas.
The case was sent to Chester Crown Court , where the pair will appear on April 5 for a plea and case management hearing.
Magistrates granted them unconditional bail until then.
