ECO-BEAUTY and former Miss Cheshire Catriona Cameron needs the support of Cheshire residents to help her on the way to the environmentally themed Miss Earth England competition.

Last year Catriona Cameron, of Runcorn, represented Cheshire at the Miss Earth England grand finals, the only international competition with the theme of promoting environmental awareness.

This year, despite being unable to represent her home county twice, Catriona is desperate to represent the area again and is vying for one of the exclusive ‘people’s choice’ places which would give her direct entrance to the Grand Final at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in August.

Catriona told us: “The Miss Earth England pageant was a fantastic opportunity for me to get involved with environmental projects across the whole of Cheshire and really promote causes that I deeply believe in.

“Equally it gave me the chance to experience new activities and initiatives and really opened my eyes to how important it is to look after the beautiful world we live in.”

As Miss Earth Cheshire 2009 Catriona became involved in many projects across the county.

This year Catriona is continuing her work and will also be joining forces with the Woodland Trust to create schemes that will encourage young people to enjoy and respect the fantastic natural woodlands in the areas.

Catriona said: “I really enjoyed my volunteer work in my capacity as Miss Earth Cheshire last year and I would love to represent my community again in this national pageant.

To help Catriona reach the finals text ‘Catriona Cameron’ to 81118. All texts cost £1 and 25p of each text will go to the environmental charity of the winners choice! Voting lines close on August 1, 2010.
