CHESTER-BORN rugby star Ben Foden tied the knot with The Saturdays singer Una Healy in a church ceremony in Tipperary on Saturday.

The happy couple’s marriage saw celebrity guests including other bandmates from The Saturdays, JLS singer Marvin Humes and footballer Wayne Bridge.

England rugby union international fullback Ben, 26, who was born in Cholmondeley, had been seeing Una since 2008 and got engaged late last year.

The couple have a baby daughter, Aoife Belle, who was born in March.

After the ceremony, Una posted a picture of the Foden family on to social networking site Twitter.

She added: “Had THE BEST day of my life yesterday! Woke up so happy to know I’m now Mrs Foden! Thank you all so much for all the lovely tweets xxx”

Former Chester Rugby Union Football Club prodigy Ben, a former pupil of Bishop Heber High School, also has a Twitter account. On it, he wrote: “Just touched down back in England, walking off the plane for the first time as Mr and Mrs Foden!

“Thanks for all the lovely messages of congratulations, Una and I are very happy and have had truly the best weekend ever!”
