A female motorcyclist needed hospital treatment following an accident in Ellesmere Port

A female motorcyclist suffered minor injuries after being involved in a collision with a car.

The accident happened in Rossmore Road West, Ellesmere Port, about 5.50pm on Tuesday.

North West Ambulance Service sent two rapid response vehicles and an ambulance in which the woman was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital.

Police closed the road to allow the recovery of the vehicles.

Cheshire Constabulary spokeswoman Shelley Smith confirmed the casualty suffered minor injuries only.
