West Cheshire College is bringing help and advice to people’s fingertips.
The college is hosting a careers open evening on Wednesday, March 9 from 3pm to 7pm at its Ellesmere Port campus off Sutton Way.
Whether you are about to leave school this summer or are looking to improve your career prospects, the event is said to be ‘a great opportunity’ to find out more about full-time courses, apprenticeships or higher level courses available from September 2016.
Leading employers from the region including Vauxhall Motors, DoubleTree by Hilton, Chester Races, Brio Leisure, Great Bear Distribution, the RNLI and Arriva will also be exhibiting with details of their employment and apprenticeship opportunities.
Course tutors from a range of curriculum areas at the college will be available to talk about full and part-time course options along with the college’s apprenticeship team with people able to apply for current apprenticeship vacancies with local employers.
Several universities will also be there including Salford University, Edge Hill University, the University of Chester, the University of Law, LJMU, the University of Liverpool and Manchester Metropolitan University.
Helen Nellist, assistant principal, said: “As the leading provider of training for young people, adults and apprentices across the West Cheshire region we are here to provide support and advice to anybody about their future career.
“Our careers open evening is a great opportunity to meet with our course tutors and our apprenticeship team as well as universities and employers to understand what path is right for you.”
