AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD gymnast has scooped a gold medal at an international gymnastics contest in Ireland.
Lillie Fisher, from Huntington Primary School, travelled to Cork as part of the Welsh acrobatic gymnastic squad to compete in the Celtic Cup.
Lillie, a member of Saltney Gymnastics Club, competed in the Grade 1 pairs section with her 12-year-old partner Georgia Place.
Although the girls came first, the Welsh squad narrowly missed out on overall gold in the team competition.
