POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an assault outside a Chester club.
There was one main male victim during the incident outside Brannigans at about 2am on Saturday. Another man was also injured and possibly a woman.
Ambulances were called but the victims, who are aged about 20 and from the Chester area, were not seriously injured.
Eight men from the Manchester area were arrested on suspicion of assault after they were seen leaving the scene in a vehicle, but independent witnesses are needed to help officers piece together what happened. The suspects have been released on bail.
PC Tom Davies, of the Chester investigation team, said punches were thrown during the skirmish but a rotating CCTV camera had only picked up the conclusion of the incident.
He said trouble may have started inside the venue but the main trouble was outside. PC Davies would be interested to hear from a group who went to the aid of the victims.
Anyone who can assist should call PC Davies or PC Nicholas Henderson on 01244 616001 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
