A DRIVER was left with serious injuries when a car flipped on to its roof after colliding with a lorry in Tarporley.
Fire engines from Tarporley and Nantwich were called to the scene on Nantwich Road at 5.06am on Thursday, November 29.
When they arrived, crews found the car on its roof and there was a man trapped inside while three others appeared unhurt.
Crews used specialist equipment to cut the man free.
A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service said the 33-year-old man had a fractured leg and pelvis as well as possible spinal injuries but was conscious, breathing and fully alert.
He was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
Road closures were put in place while the vehicles were removed from the scene. The A51 in Tarporley was closed in both directions between the Red Fox Traffic Lights in Tarporley and the Bluestone Traffic Lights in Nantwich. The road fully reopened at 1.10pm.
