CHESTER’S latest theatre company is airing its debut production.

Stripshow, written specifically for Ladders Theatre Company, will be shown at the Forum Studio Theatre, Hamilton Place, Chester.

It explores the lives of four young women who are disillusioned by the cheap and nasty strip club they work in.

They decide they can go one better and open their own lap dancing bar, determined to bring a ‘bit of class’ to this underground world.

Stripshow won’t give you pole dancers in nipple tassels, instead these women reveal something far more intimate.

As each woman reveals the secrets that have plagued their friendship, the audience will find itself drawn in and realise what happens behind closed doors is more common than it thinks.

Writer Dawn Kennedy said: “I wanted to look at topics that we, as a society, wish to hide away.

“These topics are important because they can affect any one of us, not just a certain type.

“I think we need to re-introduce the idea of social responsibility and begin to support one another in times of unrest.”

Stripshow runs until May 29, at the Forum Studio, Hamilton Place, Chester, starting at 7.30pm.
