ENTRIES have come flooding in for the groundbreaking Local Business Accelerators programme.

But with the deadline on Monday, November 14, we want more companies in Cheshire to get involved and back the £15m campaign, supported by the Chronicle.

We are one of 500 newspapers offering free advertising to the country’s most promising businesses.

The LBA project, backed by Dragons’ Den star and national ambassador Deborah Meaden, is spearheaded by the voice of local media, the Newspaper Society.

Together we will search for the nation’s most promising young firms and help them accelerate their success with top professional advice from local business mentors, together with a substantial allocation of free advertising space.

What’s more, one lucky company picked from the hundreds of regional winners will get individual mentoring sessions from Ms Meaden.

She told the Chronicle: “In this age of enterprise it has never been more important to drive awareness about the value of local marketing for a fledgling business, which is why I’m so proud to support Local Business Accelerators.”

The Chronicle kicked off its own LBA search and has been overwhelmed by the response.

We’re looking for firms active in their community, between one and three years old and full of potential.

John Newton-Jones, chairman of Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce, and North Wales Business Club chairman David Williams will be mentors for this region’s winners.
