IT’S celebration time for Chester-based mobile marketing services company Txtlocal. The firm has launched a new product that enables users to build and execute websites specifically built for the small screens of mobile phones. And it was voted the best telecommunication company in this year’s Internet Business Awards.

The Mobile Web product can be used alongside conventional mobile messaging, and for the first time ever Txtlocal is offering it to customers to build themselves at no cost.

Txtlocal managing director, Darren Daws, said: “Mobile Web can be used in conjunction with text messaging to add more content and detail to your message. By simply adding a hyperlink to a standard text message you have the ability to take the reader to a mobile web page or site that is designed to appear perfectly on any handset. We are extremely proud to have developed a user-friendly, bespoke tool which diversifies the range of possibilities our customers can achieve with mobile marketing and communications.

“We truly believe this will revolutionise the way we communicate via mobile, as it closes the gap between the marketing activities we can do on a PC versus what we can achieve via mobile.”

In the Internet Business Awards judges said: “Txtlocal’s big, bold website gives business customers instant access to Txtlocal’s full range of services, all supported by pithy bullet points and phrases. Unlike its competitors, Txtlocal can enable any size of business to use B2B text message marketing, quickly, easily and at low cost.”
