TWO colleagues at a local opticians are having a dual celebration after both were awarded with the same qualification from the same institution on the same day.
Jo Lewis from Ellesmere Port and Nikki Millar from Hoole, had both been working full time as trainee dispensing opticians at Specsavers in Chester while also studying for a two-year degree course in opthalmic dispensing at Canterbury Christchurch University in Kent.
The pair received word on the same day that they had passed the course with flying colours and that both had won additional merit. They will now join the store’s team of dispensing opticians.
Huw Moffatt, store director of Specsavers in Northgate Street, said: “At Specsavers we’re really keen on helping our staff to grow and achieve their full potential, so this double success is great news for the team.
“We look forward to Jo and Nikki joining our team of dispensing opticians and continuing to progress their careers with us.”
