A FUNDRAISING group from Upton is aiming to step up its charity efforts.

Female staff members from Dorin Park School, Upton, will be taking part in the Countess of Chester Hospital’s Moonlight Walk on Saturday, June 20.

The group will join hundreds of other fundraisers in raising money for the hospital’s Relative Comfort appeal.

Relative Comfort provides accommodation to relatives of patients on the Critical Care Unit.

Staff member Angela Shickell, said: “We’re really looking forward to the walk and it will be more fun as we’re taking part in a large group.

“We are doing it in memory of our friend Caroline and also to give something back to the Countess, where the staff do a fantastic job.”

Countess fundraising manager Kate Taylor said: “These ladies are a great example of how a large group can have a fun evening while also helping out a good cause.

“The earlier start time should please everyone this year and I think the new route is going to be a big hit and a nice fresh change.”

The Moonlight Walk consists of a new 10-mile route and will start at 10pm.
