My day usually starts with a wakeup call from Lauren – ‘can I come in your bed?’.

Followed by her running down the hallway and jumping on me. It’s been some time since I’ve needed to set an alarm clock to wake me up.

I like to start the day with a run or a class at the gym to wake me up and make me feel ready for the day ahead. I then take the scenic route to work in Chester, driving through Holt, which on a good day takes me about 25 minutes.

Every day at the office is very different and varied and my role has changed a lot since starting my own business in 2008 with my business partner Libby Entwisle.

Entyce is now a successful digital marketing agency, that employs a talented team.

We work with a range of businesses throughout the UK and worldwide to help them get the best results from their digital marketing.

The services we provide include website design and build, content creation, video and SEO.

It’s important that we really understand our clients’ businesses so we can become an extended part of their tea, I spend a lot of my time in meetings with clients and potential clients as well as running the business and working with the team.

I never really switch off from work until I go to bed in the evening.

It’s great how much work you can do through your phone these days, but it also makes it difficult for me to force myself to switch off and take a break.

The weekends for me are family time. This is when I get to spend quality time with Kev and Lauren, who is on the go all day, so she keeps me on my toes!

What do you wear to do your job? We are a creative agency so we like to dress to reflect this.

Although we aren’t a suit and tie environment, I like to dress smartly and professionally as I’m in a lot of meetings.

What is the favourite part of your job? I love my job and work in general, but my favourite part is working with people.

Whether it be our team and helping them become the best they can be or working with clients to help them grow their business.

What is the least favourite part of your job? The amount of chocolate and sweets we have in the office! I do love chocolate so I can’t resist.

What would be your dream job if you weren’t doing what you do now? If I wasn’t running Entyce I would like to do something with exercise or fitness.

I love seeing the results of exercise and I would really like to inspire other people and in particular children to become more active.

How do you relax when you are not working? Relaxing doesn’t come naturally to me, my mind is always going at a hundred miles an hour.

So for me, I find that going for a run or a class at the gym helps me to unwind and get a clear perspective on things.

What is your favourite film? The Wedding Singer, very cheesy but I’ve watched it so many times and still love it.

What is your favourite book? I read more children’s books these days, so anything by Julia Donaldson. Probably Stick Man, how sad is that?!

What is your favourite song? Ohhh, so many to choose from.

I would have to say Don McLean American Pie, because Lauren loves it so we always have it on in the car and drive around singing it.

If a film was made of your life, who would you like to play you? Sarah Jessica Parker, she’s amazing and I was a massive Sex and the City fan. And she has great shoes!

Have you had your 15 minutes of fame yet? No, I don’t think I have. Maybe this will be it, we shall see.
