A NATIONAL council has expanded.

The Chester, North Wales and Wirral branch of the Development Council for Bangladeshis in UK launched on March 21. The event took place at the Red Fox, Tarporley, and was attended by the Mayor of Ellesmere Port Tony Sherlock.

Ellesmere Port and Neston Labour MP Andrew Miller was the main speaker.

The council works for British Bangladeshis and the meeting focused on education and employment. General secretary Cllr Abdul Jilani said: “The meeting went well.”
