Students and staff from Deeside College have received a kind donation from The One Stop Heating Shop, Deeside. Students starting Heating and Ventilation courses at the college from September will work on a brand new gas fired condensing combination boiler.

The donation will give the students the opportunity to develop their installation skills by using modern up to date appliances that are used in the plumbing industry today.

The equipment will be positioned in the college’s Construction Skills Centre which was opened by the HRH Princess Ann in May of last year. The Centre is now helping full-time students and apprentices on day release courses to learn a range of skills in purpose built workshops, which are equipped with the latest tools, equipment and technology.

Deeside College Programme Area Manager for Construction, Colin Munns said: “We’d like to thank the One Stop Heating Shop for this kind donation. It is important that our students have the latest equipment to work with to increase their chances of employment. “
