FEELING Upbeat? Then you still have time to win the chance to professional record your song and much more.

Cheshire Police have extended the closing date for their Upbeat competition.

Singers and bands aged 11 to 18 wanting a chance to win the opportunity to professionally record a song, work with a professional designer to create unique artwork and hear their song played on the radio, have until the end of September to submit their entry online.

To enter you need to write, perform and record a three minute song based on one of the Upbeat topics, which can be found online at www.upbeat.uk.com.

Entries can be as a solo singer or part of a band or group and must be original so no cover versions.

The competition is open to anyone aged between 11 and 18, and the entry can be a video or just the audio of the recorded song.

Cheshire Police is organising the competition to highlight a new website that provides a link between police and young people in Cheshire.

The site covers a variety of topics and has been designed and written to meet the needs identified by youngsters who, in consultation, had clear ideas on what they wanted from the site.

To enter the competition upload your performance to YouTube or email us the link to your video to upbeat@cheshire.pnn.police.uk by the extended date of September 30.

Alternatively send it on DVD/CD to Cheshire Police HQ, Oakmere Road, Winsford, Cheshire CW7 2UA.
