DANCERS in Tilston raised £441 for the World Wildlife Fund’s Earth Hour on Saturday.

Nia – a martial and healing arts dance style – staged a Nia-Jam dance event, attended by dancers from all over the North West.

Dancers dressed as wild animals in the spirit of the campaign and danced a routine called Earth Song at Tilston Memorial Hall.

Dancer Sarah Proctor said: “With entry fees, a raffle and face painting the event raised £441.”

Businesses and education centres sponsoring the event included Rookery Hall Spa, Healing Thyme, Combermere Abbey, and The Studio in Tattenhall.
