CYCLISTS are hoping to have raised £10,000 for Save the Family after cycling 200 miles from London to Chester in a day and a half.

One of the 17 cyclists was Fil Prevc, a Policy Manager for Cheshire West and Chester Council, who said: “It was a very enjoyable trip and I didn’t feel any aches or pains cycling to work on Monday morning.

“The finish line was at Waverton Carnival and for the final five miles we were joined by Tim McLachlan and Yvette Gillott from the Save the Family charity.

“We are keeping our fingers crossed that we will raise the whole £10,000."
