MORE than £3,000 of prizes are on offer this weekend in a raffle raising funds for Saltney’s MS Support Centre.

The event is taking place over the Easter weekend at the Currys PC World store off Sealand Road, to coincide with the launch of the charitable centre’s Next Step appeal.

The centre, which treats people affected by neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and ME, has now outgrown its River Lane premises.

The charity is three-quarters of the way to raising the £25,000 needed to expand into next door’s building, but requires a final fundraising push.

Katie Roebuck, fundraiser for the MS Support Centre, said: “We are heavily reliant on the local community to help us raise money through events such as fun runs, golf days, challenge days and of course our raffle, which is being launched this Easter as part of the Curry and PCWorld Easter festivities.”

Peter Harrison, general manager of the Currys PC World store, said: “We feel that supporting the local community and charities is integral to helping our store and business grow. That is why this Easter we are supporting the MS Support Centre so they can achieve their target of £25,000.”

Also taking place during the weekend will be a number of fun events.
