CHILDREN at Cuddington Primary School celebrated the festive season by treading the boards for family and friends.
The Key Stage 2 pupils at the school put on a production of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
Headteacher Yvonne Elliott said: “It proved to be a fantastic performance from a group of very talented children. All those rehearsals were so worth while as, rather than merely delivering their lines, the children performed with expression and panache – it was just brilliant.”
The main parts were played by Millie Morris (Goldilocks), Silas Plant (Daddy Bear), Daisy Perkins (Mummy Bear) and Ellie Jardine (Baby Bear) while Katie Bouckley made a very convincing judge and auctioneer. The children in Years 5 and 6 took the other speaking roles. The other pupils in KS2 sang in the choir and took a turn on stage as dancers.
Children from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 put on a nativity production and told the Christmas story through narrative, excellent acting, catchy songs and entertaining dance. The performances ended with the choir parading into the hall holding aloft shining nightlights and singing carols.
Pupils from Year 6 told the Christmas story through readings that were interspersed with carols, both traditional and modern.
“It has been truly heart warming to see so many families and friends of the school sharing the true meaning of Christmas with us at both the KS1 nativity and today’s carol service,” said headteacher Yvonne Elliott on Friday.
