Wind and rain didn't stop the crowds flocking to Frodsham for the town's annual Christmas Festival yesterday (Saturday November 28).

Events kicked off at midday, with festive markets, fun fair rides, Santa's Grotto, face painting and street entertainment.

Musical entertainment was provided by local groups and schools including Frodsham Sings, Kingsley CP School, Helsby High School, Manor House CP School, St Luke's Catholic Primary School, Weaver Vale Primary School and Aston Primary School.

An impressive fireworks display started at 6.30pm and Santa and his reindeer were present when the lights were officially switched on.

A street parade down Church Street finished off the day of festive fun.
