FRESH from its success at the Royal Welsh Show, Reece’s Creamery in Malpas has scooped nine awards including gold, three silvers and a bronze for its Cheshire cheese at Nantwich International Cheese Show.

Reece’s Creamery is owned by The Cheese Company, the UK’s largest cheese manufacturer and part of Milk Link.

Overall, The Cheese Company continued its strong performance by winning 28 awards in total at the Nantwich International Cheese Show 2008, including five gold awards and the Danisco Grand Prix for its mature Cheddar.

The Cheese Company’s other creameries enjoyed success at the show: Taw Valley Creamery in North Tawton, Devon, was recognised for its Cheddar production, winning gold awards for its mild, mature and organic. The creamery also took home the Danisco Grand Prix trophy for the fourth consecutive round of the top competition.
