SCRUMPTIOUS goodies will be on sale at Tarporley’s Country Market on Saturday, January 10.

The first country market, held in December, was a huge success.

Crowds gathered to see the stalls from local producers who had goods on sale from cheeses and meats to vegetables, paintings and cards.

Organiser Karen Lamb said: “Each month we will invite a special guest stall from outside the area and in January it is The Pudding Compartment from Abergele and they make the most sumptuous hot puddings, either in biodegradable pots or in traditional pots which can either be re-used by the purchaser or returned to be re-filled.

“Also new this month will be H S Bourne cheesemakers from The Bank, Malpas who produce unpasteurised, pasteurised and smoked Cheshire Cheeses using their own milk.”

Other stallholders include Hereford Beef from Churton Heath Farm at Bruera, John James Hanging Baskets and Planters from Tarporley, Wych Bacon and Pork from Whitchurch, Goat meat from Chestnut Meats at Spurstow, Simply Pies from Whitchurch and handmade pates from Katie’s Proper Pates.

The following market will be held on Saturday, February 7.
