CROWDS of shoppers flocked to a celebration of style at the Grosvenor Shopping Centre in Chester.
Coronation Street star Samia Ghadie launched the three-day Fashion Flash event, which signalled the start of the party season in Chester.
The mum-of-one met shoppers to sign autographs and have her photograph taken with fans as she watched flash mob performances by dancers dressed in clothes from River Island, Dorothy Perkins, Jigsaw and LK Bennett.
Samia, who plays hairdresser Maria Connor on the ITV soap, said: “The flash mobs are such a great idea and they were all dancing to my daughter’s favourite songs!
“Seeing everyone’s reactions to them is brilliant – everyone was so shocked and it really got people excited.
“I know I wanted to grab all the clothes the dancers were wearing!”
During her visit, the 30-year-old made sure she made time to visit her favourite city centre stores.
She told The Chronicle: “I’ve been to Chester many times and I love it, it’s such a beautiful city,” she said.
“I’m very low key when it comes to my style but I do like an occasion to get dressed up every now and again and this event has really inspired me to hit the shops.”
“I know how much an event like the Fashion Flash will grab people’s attention and I think it’s a great boost for retailers.
“It’s a fantastic start to the Christmas party season here in Chester.”
