CONSERVATIVE candidate Graham Evans launched a dawn raid leafleting across the Weaver Vale constituency this morning on the final day of the Election.

On potentially a landmark day for the Conservatives in Weaver Vale, with many political commentators believing if the seat changes hands tonight it could point to a new Government, Mr Evans was up at 4am to canvass last minute support.

“It’s not done until 10pm tonight,” said Mr Evans, who revealed he hasn’t prepared a speech.

“I was up at 4am, leafleting until 7am and then since then I have been travelling around the polling stations, Hartford, Weaverham and now Frodsham and Helsby.

“I will be heading home about 10.30pm, having a hot bath and getting a change of clothes before heading to the count.

“I’ve been very well looked after out and about, there’s a saying, a nod is as good as a wink to a blind bat, so the feeling is positive.”
