A PROMISING young Runcorn footballer had his dreams come true when he attended the Manchester Pepsi Soccer School and got the chance to meet England and Manchester United star Gary Neville.

Connor Taylor, 16, impressed the coaches so much during the Pepsi Soccer School that he was one of 14 participants presented with an award at the end of the day by Gary Neville himself.

As well as meeting his football hero, Connor, who has just left the Grange Comprehensive School, enjoyed a fun day of coaching in skills and teamwork tactics alongside more than 200 other youngsters.

After a morning of training by expert coaches, he spent the afternoon taking part in organised matches so they could put into practice everything they had learned.

Connor, of Hallwood Park, said: 'It was a brilliant day. I especially enjoyed meeting Gary Neville, he was really nice and showed us his soccer skills and even passed on some top footy tips.'
