COMPETITION is hotting up as Miss Chester 2009 gets under way.

Four young women have already been selected as finalists for the event where they will face the public vote to compete for the accolade.

Young women aged between 17 and 24 are still in with a chance of winning.

Student and aspiring lawyer Alexandra McKeegan, 17, from Newtown, 21-year-old promotions manager Kirsty Ollerhead, from Handbridge, Saltney’s Laura McLoughlin, 17, who is already a model and singer with Sky Models and self-employed advisor Zoe Keogh, 18, also from Saltney are all already in the final.

“We are looking for a winner who will stand out from the crowd, and has lots of personality and confidence as well as beauty,” says organiser Angie Beasley.

The winner of Miss Chester 2009 will represent the region in this year’s Miss England semi-final.
