THE first Helsby Day will be held at Helsby Community Sports Club on Saturday, July 12 from 11am.
The action-packed day will include arts and crafts, an assault course, beer tents, golf lessons and miniature steam train rides.
The village fun day, organised jointly by the sports club and Helsby Village Action Group, will have plenty of traditional attractions too with bucket throws, penny rolls, knock the cans down and splat the rat all on offer.
Helsby Puppy School will run a dog show (enter on the day) and Rowlinsons Solicitors are sponsoring a rounders tournament (register in advance to play).
