A PROJECT to provide budding musicians with rehearsal space and the use of equipment is back.
Bandline is a scheme run by EPN Live, a music collective set up by the borough council, and is supported by Chester and Ellesmere Port YMCA.
It aims to give people the chance to meet others with similar musical influences and use guitars, drum kits, microphones and amps to get them started.
From today (Wednesday) musicians can book Bandline sessions at the YMCA in Christchurch Centre, Worcester Street, Ellesmere Port. Sessions will be from 5-9pm on Tuesdays and from 1-3pm most Sundays.
Borough council arts officer Samantha Lee said: 'Bandline aims to ensure they are not held back by these things by giving them use of a rehearsal space and allowing them to hire any equipment they might need.
'The scheme also matches up musicians, so if there is a band that needs a drummer and a keen drummer in need of a band, we can put them in touch.'
Sessions can be booked by calling 0151 356 6704. There is no charge but participants will need YMCA membership, which costs £12 a year for 11 to 18-year-olds and £15 for over-18s.
