Two flood-hit Coliseum Shopping Park stores remain closed and have yet to reveal when they will reopen.

Next and Thomson have not opened their doors to customers since June 14, when torrential rain forced the evacuation of all 22 shops at the Ellesmere Port retail park.

Ten stores were affected by flooding, but Next and Thomson are the only two still closed to allow for repairs.

A spokesman for The Crown Estate, which owns the Coliseum, said: “Following the substantial rainfall last week we’re pleased to say that almost all of the stores at the Coliseum Shopping Park have already reopened for business.

"Remedial works have already been undertaken to get the park back up and running as fast as possible and, through ongoing asset management activities, we’ll continue to ensure the resilience of the retail environment for shoppers in the future.”
