RUMOURS that Gregory's nightclub in Nantwich is closing down have been strongly denied.
There have been persistent rumours in the past few weeks that the club in Castle Street is to be closed to make way for housing development.
But yesterday assurances were given by Luminar Leisure, which runs the club, that it has a bright future.
Spokeswoman Claire de Silva said: 'We want to quash the rumours once and for all.
'The business is going from strength to strength with even more customers thronging through the doors for the best night out in town.'
Club manager Ian Hodgson said: 'I don't know how these rumours get started. At the last Pub Watch meeting I attended people were saying how sorry they were that we were closing down, so it is obvious how widespread the story had become.
'But nothing could be further from the truth.'
The club is open on Tuesdays for students' night, Thursday, when it is free to members, Friday and Saturdays.
Mr Hodgson added: 'Gregory's has and always will have the best in entertainment for people of this town and beyond.
'We would like to take this opportunity to highlight this and remind our loyal customers of our dedication to quality and high standards.
'We are proud of our reputation for providing great entertainment and our commitment to give the clubbers of South Cheshire the best night out in town.'
