TARPORLEY Rotary Club organised fast cars, a difficult circuit and expensive motors at the Charity Track Day at Oulton Park.

The club, in collaboration with MotorSportVision, held the annual event on November 5.

David Carter from the Rotary Club said: “Participants brought along 42 track cars and enjoyed an excellent day’s driving on this challenging circuit.

“In addition to income from the registration fees the Rotary Club added to its charity fund by selling hot rides in a Lotus Exige, kindly provided by Christopher Neil Cars of Northwich and driven by their experienced track driver, Steve Jeavons, so even non-participants were able to experience high-speed thrills.”

Steve also arranged for a new Lotus 211 to be available, expertly driven by Lotus works-driver Paul Adams, who greatly impressed his passengers with his handling of a dedicated track day car.
