A BUDDING actress who is going to great lengths to get into drama school is just a whisker away from fulfilling her dream.

Cathy Conneff, 27, of Hawarden, has dreamt of seeing her name in lights since appearing in plays at Rector Drew Primary School.

She was delighted when she found out she had been accepted at the prestigious Drama Studio in London.

But the struggling actress is finding raising £21,550 to pay her fees and living expenses her hardest role yet and time is ticking for her to raise the last £7,550.

Cathy's craziest scheme yet saw her being sponsored to prowl around London dressed as a cat.

Cathy said: 'I have worked very long and hard to get on this course. It is my lifelong ambition to become an actress and I'm not going to let this last hurdle get in my way.'
