A pub in Churton will be looking its best this Christmas following a £60,000 makeover.

The White Horse on Chester Road now proudly boasts a new look conservatory and a complete external redecoration, as well as a refresh of the gents’ toilets.

The extensive refurbishment was completed with help from Chester-based pub group Admiral Taverns.

Ashley Nall-Evans, who has been running the pub for the past 12 months with his partner Becca Downing, said: “We’ve worked really hard over the past year to turn this pub around.

“We want it to be a place that the locals are proud of and that people love to visit.

“It looks great now and we hope we can celebrate our recent renovations with all our customers over the festive period.”

Ashley is passionate about sourcing local food and works closely with Griffiths the Butchers in Farndon.

Christmas fayre

The pub is hosting a festive fayre featuring Farndon Brass Band and stalls from local businesses from 5pm on Saturday (December 19).

The White Horse team ask that visitors make a small donation to one of their three charities – Macmillan Cancer Support, Dogs Trust or Alcohol Concern.
