The Friends of Chester Mystery Plays enjoyed a Christmas fundraiser at Crewe Hill in Farndon.
With planning already well under way for the 2018 production of the cycle at Chester Cathedral from June 27 to July 14 Michael and Inger Trevor-Barnston opened their home for the event on Sunday, December 7.
Chairman of the Chester Mystery Plays Jo Sykes said: “It was terrific to see so many people coming out to support Chester’s world renowned theatre production.
“We were royally entertained by the Tilston carol singers, while Bev McConnell treated us to a fine demonstration of jewellery making.”
