THIS year’s Cholmondeley Pageant of Power has announced a line-up of its noisiest and most iconic collection of performance cars yet.

This year’s event, which kicks off on the weekend of Friday, June 14, will feature more than 1,000 legendary vehicles including some of the most exclusive and high performance cars ever to have graced the international racing scene.

And organisers are urging visitors to act now if they want to save 25% on the Pageant’s Saturday tickets and almost 15% on preview tickets for Friday.

Under-16s tickets are still available free of charge, giving families a cut-price option to attend the most high-octane event in the region before the price changes to £7 on May 16.

Details of some of the weekend’s supercars and hypercars are yet to be announced, but some of the more famous classic race cars attending the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power include the actual 1956 Maserati 250F made famous by Juan Manuel Fangio and Sir Stirling Moss, as well as the Bentley Speed 8 endurance race car that won the 2003 Le Mans 24 hour race.

The Aston Martin DB4 GT, one of only 75 ever made, will be one of a dozen famous Aston Martins racing over the weekend which also include the single-seater 1959 DBR4, driven successfully in Formula One, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and World Sportscar Championship in the late 1950s, and an ex-Sir Jack Brabham 1955 DB2/4, one of the fastest cars on the road and track by the standards of the day.

There is no other event in the UK where visitors are able to get so up close and personal with all the cars on display, and speak to mechanics, owners and drivers alike.

James Hall, event director for the Pageant of Power, said: “We’ve got a wonderful selection of powerful and historically significant vehicles in action that are sure to delight and fascinate our spectators.

“There’s nowhere else in the UK where you can get so close to such a selection of powerful, high performance and rare race cars,” he added.

A full event schedule and list of participants will be announced over the coming weeks.
