CHESHIRE choristers sang their way to a double success.

The Cheshire Chord Company, an A Cappella choir, are are renowned for versions of well known pop songs, such as I Predict a Riot by the Kaiser Chiefs and Umbrella by Rihanna.

Now they are set for a top London date later in the year after success in national and European competitions.

Frazer Bird from the company said: “The choir gained a gold medal in the UK national competition and came home from the European Championships in Holland after securing a silver medal and trophy.

“They received a standing ovation for their performance where they were competing against championship choirs from Germany, Holland, Sweden, Norway and Ireland.”

The choir will next be performing at the London Palladium, its first public performance in London, where they will be joining the best of British barbershop choruses and quartets from around the UK.
