YOUNGSTERS in Chester are being invited to go on a magical mystery tour.

Director of the Chester Mystery Plays Peter Leslie Wild is looking for children and young people to join the company for the forthcoming 2013 production.

Anyone who wants to be involved will get a part in the show, but they must attend an acting workshop on Saturday, November 17.

Peter said: “We’ve had workshops and auditions for adults over the last couple of weeks and I’ve been really impressed with the range of talented people we’ve seen. I’m sure that the children and young people will be just as good!”

Writer Stephanie Dale added: “There will be speaking parts for children in the production as well as parts where they play animals or perform in groups, so there’s lots of opportunity for children and young people to get involved. And there’s no scary audition, just a fun workshop!”

There will be two workshops, lasting about two hours, at 10.30am and 2pm. The first is for primary school children (minimum age seven) and the second is for secondary school students.

The workshops will be held at Hoole Community Centre in Westminster Road. Email info@chestermysteryplays.com to register interest.

Rehearsals for the production will start in January 2013 and performances will take place in the nave of Chester Cathedral from June 26-July 13, 2013.
