CINDERELLA and Snow White finally got to go to the ball and meet their real-life Prince Charming during a fun day for a lifesaving charity.

On Saturday toddlers flocked to Badgers Barn Day Nursery in Frodsham to enjoy a day filled with food, dancing and laughter.

Children and parents were dressed as Mickey Mouse, Buzz Lightyear, pirates and princesses as they tucked into hot dogs and played on the bouncy castle to raise money for children’s charity Brainwave.

And the excited youngsters got to meet some real-life heroes as firefighters raced to the party in their fire engine and local PCSO Patrick Campbell stopped by to join the celebrations.

After music, dancing, food and games the children enjoyed searching for treasure in the nursery’s woodlands before taking part in a family quiz to win a dinner for two, donated by The Old Hall.

The event, which raised £270.68, ended with a raffle filled with prizes donated from local hotels, businesses and restaurants.

In the past six months the nursery has raised £806.18 for Brainwave, and it still has a Manchester United shirt signed by Jo Hart to auction.

If you’d like to make a bid for the Joe Hart top or donate to Brainwave, call the nursery on 01928 722647 or visit www.brainwave.org.uk.
