Pupils of Broughton Infant School gathered for the the mock wedding of Holly Groom and Malakai Gregory, who played the roles of Kate Middleton and Prince William.

Children dressed as members of the bridal party, guests and dignataries from around the world.

And headteacher Sue Davies played the part of the Queen.

Deputy headteacher Siobhan Green said: “It was a brilliant day and the children really enjoyed themselves.

“We have had fantastic feedback from parents and children.”

After the ceremony guests were treated to a wedding breakfast and disco.

“It is nice for the children to see how events like weddings work, as many of them had never been to a real one,” added Mrs Green.

“Thanks must go to everyone involved with the event, especially the the school cook and kitchen staff for the excellent food and parents for their continued support.”
