HOT dogs and hot chocolate were on the menu at the annual fireworks display at Westminster Park Scout hut on Friday night.
Members of the 18th Chester (St Mary’s) Scouts, family and friends enjoyed a bonfire, hot food, cakes and a raffle before venturing outside to the field for the sparkling firework spectacle.
The event raised more than £600 for pack funds.
Akela of the Thursday pack, Chris Owens, said: “We lost a lot of canvas in May when we went on a camp to Scotland. There were such high winds that we suffered about £3,000 worth of damage.
“If we claim too much on the insurance, our premiums will go sky high, so we’re hoping to raise as much money as possible to replace it.”
