CHESTER’S new Primark store is now on a recruitment drive.
The fashion retailer, which is scheduled to open its doors to the public in May, is hoping to provide jobs for more than 150 potential employees.
And people hoping to apply for a position in the Foregate Street store, at the home of the former Woolworths site, had better do so quickly.
Potential applicants can only apply online via Primark’s website and the closing date for applications is within the next week.
Interviews for the positions will then be held over the weekend of March 27 and 28.
Positions available include retail roles and supervisors.
Primark currently has 196 stores in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.
The new Chester store is at a site covering more than 33,700 sq ft and will bring an end to 15 months construction work when it is complete.
When the Irish clothes retailer opened its store on Liverpool’s Church Street in September 2007, customers queued to get in two hours before opening, crash barriers were installed and police were on hand.
