MEMORIES of life at nursery were celebrated at Chester’s last inner city school.
Children, staff and governors joined former pupils and parents to remember their days at St Mary’s Nursery School, which will move from its site on St Mary’s Hill to new premises in Handbridge in January next year.
Chairman of Cheshire County Council Steve Wilkinson and Sheriff of Chester David Hull both toasted the success of the school and wished pupils and staff the best for their move after the Christmas holidays.
St Mary’s Nursery School will be based on the site of Overleigh St Mary’s CE Primary School in Old Wrexham Road. It provides state nursery education for three and four year olds from anywhere in Chester.
