EVENT manager Helen Wright is calling on women who took part in Tesco and Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life to make every step count – by returning their sponsorship money as soon as possible.

Helen is encouraging theŠwomen who entered the event in Chester city centre on JuneŠ19 to make one last dash for cash.

Last year, just under half the women who took part in Race for Life didn’t return any sponsorship money.

Many don’t realise that their entry fee only covers the cost of the event. It’s the sponsorship money that really makes a difference.

Cancer Research UK relies on money raised through Race for Life to fund life-saving research.

Every hour, around four people are diagnosed with cancer in the North West.

But the good news is that research, funded through Chester Race for Life, is helping men, women and children to survive the disease.

Helen, Race for Life event manager for the North West, said: “Race for Life in Chester was a fantastic event.

“Now the big day is over, we are asking our supporters to take one last step – by returning the money they have raised so that we can go on funding much needed research.”
