Emergency services are currently still on the scene of a 'serious' road traffic collision in Chester city centre.
Police have closed a road on the eastbound carriageway of the Fountains roundabout heading onto St Oswald's Way after receiving a call at 3.31pm today (Wednesday May 13) that a pedestrian and a car had been involved in an accident.
The collision involved a Peugeot 307 car and a 29-year-old woman, who is believed to have sustained serious injuries, has been taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital for treatment.
