COLLEAGUES of Claire Sussman, the missing Chester woman whose body was found last week, have been paying tribute to her.

Claire, 43, of Lucerne Close, Huntington, was employed at the University of Chester as an e-learning technologist before her disappearance on February 27.

One work colleague, who did not want to be named, said: “Claire was a very hard working, motivated, professional woman who was always keen to give her best smile, even in difficult times.

“Her disappearance came as such a shock to us all and she will always be in our thoughts and prayers.”

University of Chester Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tim Wheeler, said she is “sadly missed”.

He said: “The University was deeply saddened to learn of the death of Claire Sussman and would like to offer its condolences to all those who knew her.

“Claire had worked for the University for the past 12 months and had made a valuable contribution as an E-Learning Technologist in the Learning and Information Services team. She is sadly missed by her colleagues.”

Ms Sussman’s body was recovered from the River Mersey, Hightown, Liverpool on Thursday, March 6.

Police are still looking for her car, a black Nissan Micra registration R865 HDM.
