Rail passengers travelling from Chester railway station faced cancellations and delays due to a signal failure this afternoon (August 14).
Merseyrail, Arriva Trains Wales and Virgin services were all disrupted due to the electrical supply problems.
Train services are now returning to normal but residual delays are likely to last until 5pm.
